A New Vision For Amateur Radio Learning

Empowering Amateur Radio Enthusiasts through Innovative Digital Publishing and Software Solutions

Who We Are

Amateur Radio Press is the new “publishing arm” of PC Information Group, Inc. PCIG has been in the technology publishing business since 1989 and has developed and distributed numerous technical journals, magazines, buyers guides, and software applications to over 83 countries around the world.

Amateur Radio Press continues our 35 year-plus publishing tradition by extending our reach into the area of amateur radio-related content and software-as-a-service (SaaS) cloud-based applications. Detailed below are the initial product offerings of Amateur Radio Press.

Products and Services

Amateur Radio Press has developed and is in the process of developing an eclectic range of products designed to enhance your amateur radio experience. Our initial offerings for the ham radio community include:

RFExposure

RFExposure is a free online SaaS application platform that allows amateur radio operators to create digital, multi-page RF exposure reports in just minutes. Users can create single-file exposure reports for entire HF or VHF/UHF ham bands, which optionally includes exposure calculations for all selected bands.

RF exposure reports can typically be generated in less than two minutes. Like most current internet-based RF exposure calculators, RFExposure requires you to enter your antenna specifications, power, and transmission parameters. With RFExposure, you will also be required to (1) enter titles for your report, (2) select the ham bands (MF/HF or VHF/UHF) for analysis and (3) determine if you want to include calculation pages for each band in the report.

Recently we have been developing an entire suite of WordPress-based templates designs for the amateur radio community. Our initial concentration has been on creating easy-to-use web design solutions that allow ham radio clubs to build refresh old, as well as build new and innovative websites that are easy-to-maintain and affordable for even the smallest clubs.

We will release the Elementor-based WordPress templates for ham radio clubs in mid-2025 with our WordPress templates for ham radio operators to be release about four months later.

Our first amateur radio-related blog, HamAITech, will be released in the spring of 2025. We have already developed the initial content for the blog which includes articles and series pertaining to using advanced and open source LLM's for:

* Amateur Radio User Groups
* Creating Code for Ham Radio Projects
* OpenAI Versus Other LLM Alternatives
* Coding Using LLM API's
* LLM's for Various Ham Radio-Related Tasks and Projects
